About the recipe

This tasty Spanish-style omelette is not only rich in protein thanks to egg whites and whey, but it's also very easy to prepare. Serve it with a fresh salad and a slice of wholemeal bread for a delicious, filling meal.

for the entire tortilla

Ingredients

  • 1 onion (100 g)
  • 2 large potatoes (300 g)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 30 g no-sugar-added Protéalpes vanilla whey (the taste is very light and goes very well)
  • A pinch of salt

Steps to follow

Step 1

Peel and boil the potatoes until tender (about 20 minutes). Leave to cool and cut into 1 cm cubes.

Step 2

Peel and chop the onion. Sauté in oil over low heat until soft and golden.

Add the potato cubes to the pan.

Step 3

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and whey.
Pour the mixture over the potatoes and onions in the pan.

Add the salt and sauté until the bottom of the omelette is cooked.

Step 4

Turn over with a plate and brown the other side.

Serve with a fresh salad.

Nutritional advice

Add a few herbs and spices like basil, parsley or curry to vary the flavours.
