Per 150 g steak

Ingredients

  • 500 g red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 eggs
  • 70 g cooked brown rice
  • 1 scoop of no-sugar-added cocoa whey
  • 100 g blanched celery (boiled)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • onion powder
  • cumin
  • garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 30 g almond flour

Steps to follow

Step 1

In a blender, blend the beans, rice, whey and celery until well blended. (The whey should not give a pronounced cocoa taste in the final product).

Step 2

In a large bowl, add the soy sauce, eggs and spices.

Mix everything together and add the oil. At this point, you can use your (clean) hands to knead the mixture. Form 4 or 5 patties and coat with almond flour.

Step 3

You can cook the steaks immediately in a hot pan with a little oil, or bake them in the oven.

Step 4

Serve as a side dish or straight from the heart of a homemade burger.

Advice

Unused patties can be wrapped in plastic film and stored in the fridge for a few days, or frozen if you wish to keep them for longer.

Don't hesitate to vary the flavours (curry, mustard, shallot...).
