Per 50 g bar

Ingredients

  • 120 g pitted dates
  • 100 g almond butter
  • 1 scoop Protéalpes no-sugar-added whey (caramel flavour)
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 good pinch of salt

Steps to follow

Step 1

Place the dates in a blender and blend.

Pour the sugar and water into a saucepan and stir over medium heat until the caramel begins to appear.

Step 2

Using your hands, mix the dates and caramel with the rest of the ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous paste that you will mold into a dozen small bars (or balls, as you prefer).

Step 3

Coat with shredded coconut if you like, and chill for a few hours in the fridge until firm.

Practical tips

Take your time cooking the caramel: it should be thick and viscous, not lumpy. Stir slowly and be patient!
